Blink Stories are representations of my eye blinks as I view movie clips. It was created as an experiment based on the writings of film editor Walter Murch.

"... the blink is either something that helps an internal separation of thought to take place or it is an involuntary reflex accompanying the mental separation that is taking place anyway."

Using Processing and OpenCV, I recorded my blinks as I watched 4 different clips and represented the results in two ways. Details, and the code, are available in my blog and on github.

The first visualization was through generating the clip's individual frames and darkening each frame slightly whenever a blink occurred in that frame. Thus, the frames that are blacked out means that I blinked each time that frame happened.

The second was through a real-time display of the blinks, represented as ellipses in a row at the bottom of the clip.
